Heat transfer vinyl (HTV) or iron-on vinyl is a special type of material used to print on garments and different fabrics. But what is the best fabric for heat transfer vinyl? HTV adheres well to cotton, polyester fabric, poly/cotton blends, canvas, and denim.

The best surfaces for applying an adhesive decal are completely smooth and texture free like glass, clear glossy plastic, or enamel painted metal. Walls that have been treated with glossy or semi-gloss paints will also work great for vinyl decal application. These iron on transfers are cut from high quality heat transfer vinyl. These will not work well on nylon or silk because the temperature needed to apply them will burn these materials. These can be washed and dried and will not crack or chip off! Please contact me for a custom size or with any questions.

To care for your heat transfer, make sure to wait at least 48 hours before washing your garment. When you do, turn your clothing inside out and avoid ironing over the transfer directly in the future.

Sublimation Transfers

Sublimation printing is a remarkable technique by which designs of any complexity can be imprinted onto an array of surfaces, with it being the most common technique for printing onto t-shirts and other items of clothing. However, not every fabric is suitable for sublimation printing.

It is most effectively done on 100% polyester fabrics, where the chemical bonding process of sublimation is most effective. The higher the percentage of polyester, the more durable the design.

DTF Transfers

DTF transfers boast elasticity and durability. They deliver high-resolution and intricately detailed prints that are bursting with vibrancy. DTF transfers exhibit versatility, seamlessly adhering to various substrates including cotton, polyester, blends, and more.
